Field Integration & QA Engineer

Location: London, UK — Onsite

Contract Length: 3 Months (Possibility of Extension)

Start Date: Immediate

About the Role & Team

We are looking for a hands-on Field Integration & QA Engineer to join an agile engineering team driving enterprise service delivery mechanisms across hardware, software, and customer-facing systems. Located in the vibrant Shoreditch tech hub, this role offers an immediate start to deliver high-impact testing across hardware permutations and wireless technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Field Integration Testing: Develop and execute Field Integration Test scenarios featuring diverse hardware permutations and system configurations.
  • Progress Reporting: Track daily progress, report status, and dynamically adapt testing strategies based on feedback and results.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Software Engineering and QA teams to expand test coverage and optimize existing testing workflows.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with test automation methodologies to identify opportunities for adopting new tools, techniques, and frameworks.

Basic Qualifications

  • Proven understanding of functional embedded software/hardware validation methodologies and frameworks.
  • Solid foundation in IP networking and wireless technologies, including hands-on experience testing these systems.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and executing structured manual test cases.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and system-level troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience automating manual HW, RF, Firmware, and Software test workflows.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-grade test automation frameworks and platforms.
  • Track record of building custom test automation tools, libraries, or integrations to improve developer productivity.
  • Strong RF domain expertise, including site surveys, link budget/SINR analysis, signal interference troubleshooting, and spectrum management/coordination with coexisting wireless networks.
  • Proficiency with Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies and standard project management tools.
