Founded in 2011, Fasanara is a global asset manager and technology platform managing approximately USD 6 billion in assets under management as of July 2026, investing across private and public markets on behalf of institutional investors globally.
Alongside our established Fintech Lending franchise, Fasanara is building Open Quant: an institutional, technology-led multi-manager platform designed to give exceptional quantitative investment teams access to shared capital, infrastructure, execution, risk management, and operational support.
Fasanara Open Quant is a fully quantitative multi-strategy, multi-manager hedge fund that aims to generate superior returns through a unique portfolio of investment algorithms. The fund tracks the performance of independent early-stage quant trading teams globally, using their collective intelligence to harvest persistent, uncorrelated returns. The fund has been growing rapidly and achieving strong returns.
Our Culture
We are strong believers in meritocracy, and we seek to reward people based on impact, judgement, and excellence in execution. We keep bureaucracy to a minimum, so decisions are made quickly and people have real ownership. Our environment is collaborative, inclusive, entrepreneurial, and built on trust. We set ambitious goals, work hard in a focused and sustainable way, and place a strong emphasis on teamwork, integrity, and quality in everything we do. We know we are only as good as our people, so we are deliberately building the firm around exceptional talent and diverse perspectives, and we support our leaders to grow, influence, and shape the future of the business.
The Role
We are seeking a Quant Technology Lead to lead the design, architecture, delivery, and continuous evolution of the technology platform powering Fasanara Open Quant.
Reporting directly to the Head of Technology, the successful candidate will be fully dedicated to the Open Quant business, working closely with the Head of Quant Division and the Quant investment team. As the primary technology partner to the business, they will translate investment, portfolio, risk, and operational requirements into scalable production technology.
This is a highly hands-on technical leadership role. The successful candidate will design and build core platform capabilities while working directly with portfolio managers, quantitative researchers, traders, risk professionals, operations teams, and engineers.
The ideal candidate combines deep software engineering and architecture expertise with a strong understanding of financial markets and investment technology. As Open Quant continues to scale, they will play a central role in defining its technical roadmap and developing the dedicated Quant Technology function.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
