Role description
London-based Quant Developer opportunity within a centralised Quantitative Research team at a leading asset manager. The role sits at the intersection of technology, data and quantitative investment, supporting the wider investment team through the development of data infrastructure, analytics tools and automated workflows.
This is a hands-on opportunity for a technically strong developer to work closely with Quant Researchers, helping to productionise research and build the technology that underpins investment analytics across the business.
Responsibilities
- Building, maintaining and improving ETL processes and data pipelines supporting quantitative research
- Working with investment and financial data feeds, including data processing, transformation and validation
- Developing analytics tools and applications used by the wider investment team
- Automating existing investment research and data workflows
- Working closely with Quant Researchers to productionise research and ideas into usable tools and workflows
- Supporting and improving the wider quantitative investment technology stack
- Taking ownership of technical projects within a small, agile Quant team
- Working with internal development resources and emerging AI tools to improve development and research workflows

Ideal candidate
- Around 2–4 years' experience in a technical role, although strong candidates outside this range will be considered
- Strong Python development skills
- Good SQL experience
- Experience with ETL, data pipelines, data engineering or backend development
- Strong software development fundamentals and experience building production-level solutions
- An interest in financial markets, investment or quantitative research
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Financial, investment or market data experience would be advantageous, but is not essential
