Quantitative Developer

We’re working with a leading financial technology business looking for a Senior Quantitative Developer to join a high-impact team responsible for real-time positions, balances and P&L across traditional and digital assets.

You’ll play a key role in designing, building and operating high-performance, real-time financial systems, with increasing ownership of architecture, correctness and production operations.

  • High-performance Python
  • Deep SQL / PostgreSQL
  • Kafka and event-driven / CDC pipelines
  • FastAPI / REST APIs
  • Redis and caching
  • Real-time position-keeping and financial data
  • AWS, distributed databases and infrastructure-as-code

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong commercial experience building production systems in Python
  • Deep SQL and database knowledge
  • Hands-on Kafka/event-streaming experience
  • Strong understanding of testing, reconciliation and data correctness
  • Financial markets experience, ideally across 8+ years
  • Background in positions, ledger, books & records or P&L is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and a strong ownership mindset
