The platform has an established investment strategy architecture and in-house backtesting capability. This role will focus on developing and improving quantitative investment strategies, working closely with the Lead Developer to bridge software engineering and quantitative research.

Location: United Kingdom (Hybrid – office Tuesday to Thursday, remote Monday and Friday)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and extend the existing investment strategy architecture using Python and Django.
  • Design, implement and evaluate quantitative trading and investment strategies.
  • Run, analyse and interpret backtests to validate strategy performance before deployment.
  • Optimise strategy parameters and contribute to ongoing model improvements.
  • Explore machine learning techniques for parameter optimisation where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with a small engineering team to deliver scalable, production-ready solutions.

Requirements

  • Commercial experience developing applications with Python and Django.
  • Experience in quantitative development within investment management, trading, derivatives, or other financial products.
  • Experience implementing, testing and refining quantitative strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Interest in machine learning techniques is beneficial but not essential.
  • Several years of relevant commercial experience.

Working Arrangements

  • Hybrid working: three days per week in the office (Tuesday–Thursday) and two days remote.
  • Candidates should be based in the UK and able to attend the office regularly.
  • Salary: £100,000 per annum.
  • Anticipated start date: Q4 2026, subject to completion of the company's fundraising and associated business milestones.
