ZS is seeking a Quantitative Methodologist Expert to serve as a subject-matter expert in advanced quantitative research methodologies. In this role, you will work closely with client stakeholders and internal project teams to design and deliver complex quantitative research solutions that address critical business questions. You will bridge deep academic rigor with practical business insight, directly engaging with clients to translate their needs into innovative research approaches and driving high-impact, data-driven outcomes. As part of ZS’s advanced analytics community, you’ll champion methodological innovation and thought leadership to keep our solutions at the cutting edge of the industry.
What you'll do:
Quantitative Methodologist Expert in the Insights & Analytics Expertise Center will…
- Collaborate with multiple project teams and client stakeholders to understand business needs and identify the best quantitative research methodologies for each engagement.
- Act as a strategic thought partner in client discussions, translating ambiguous or complex questions into rigorous research plans that will yield actionable insights.
- Design and implement robust primary research studies, including developing sample plans, survey questionnaires, and multi-attribute experimental designs, to capture high-quality data on human behaviors and underlying drivers. Ensure that the research design effectively addresses the client’s objectives and can reveal key drivers behind target outcomes.
- Lead sophisticated quantitative analyses, applying advanced statistical modeling techniques (e.g., regression analysis, choice/conjoint modeling, factor and cluster analysis, latent class segmentation) to meet study objectives. Use these methods to uncover key drivers of outcomes and generate robust insights that directly answer the research questions.
- Interpret and present research results in an impactful, client-friendly manner, effectively connecting quantitative findings to business implications. Ensure that insights clearly highlight the key drivers behind observed patterns and why they matter for the client’s strategy and decision-making. You will often deliver findings to senior client audiences, distilling complex analytics into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior team members in quantitative methods, upskilling colleagues and fostering a culture of rigorous analytical problem-solving. Collaborate with peers in ZS’s advanced research community to share best practices and ensure high-quality execution of complex analytics firm-wide.
- Stay at the forefront of quants, and points-of-view on key quantitative topics (e.g., sample design, segmentation approaches, demand estimation, driver analysis) for both internal and external audiences.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
