Quantitative Research Analyst

Portsmouth, Hampshire | Hybrid – 2 to 3 days per week in office

Overview

We’re building a new analytical capability within our business and are looking for a Quantitative Research Analyst to play a key role in shaping it.

This is a hands-on role focused on designing and building structured models that bring together complex inputs and turn them into clear, useful outputs.

The role combines quantitative modelling with analysis and interpretation, and would suit someone who enjoys working with data while also applying judgement to understand what really matters.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Building and refining analytical models and decision-support frameworks
  • Working with multiple datasets and shaping them into structured outputs
  • Developing logical approaches to ranking, weighting and interpretation
  • Analysing outputs to identify patterns, anomalies and areas for improvement
  • Applying judgement to interpret findings and assess what is meaningful
  • Preparing clear analysis and sharing insights with internal stakeholders
  • Becoming the internal point of reference for this area over time

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
