About

My client is a renowned scientific-led quantitative trading firm comprising Computer Scientists, Technologists, and Academics who pool their cumulative experience to develop creative solutions that tackle some of the biggest questions in finance. They pair this expertise with machine learning, big data, and some of the most advanced technology available to predict movements in the financial markets.

They are seeking a Python/C++ Engineer to join their team in London for one of their flagship engineering teams, to work closely with the quant researchers. The position offers a unique opportunity to influence the design and architecture of a growing system and ensure efficient development and deployment of revenue-generating solutions by a team of software engineers.

Job Description

  • Work closely with quantitative researchers to improve the profitability of strategies
  • Improve existing code and develop new tools
  • Build robust data pipelines to assist analysis of large datasets
  • Develop infrastructure for trading services to convert research ideas into production
  • Experience with large-scale distributed computing technologies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or other quantitative discipline
  • 3+ years of Python/C++ required. (Post-Graduation)
  • An understanding of fundamental statistical and machine learning concepts
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members to drive projects forward.
