Are you an experienced Surveyor or Contract Management professional looking for a role where your expertise can make a real difference?
At Homes in Somerset, we're investing in our homes and communities and we're looking for a Quantity & Contract Management Surveyor to help us deliver high-quality planned investment and major works programmes. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of projects, manage contracts, control costs and ensure our customers' homes are safe, well-maintained and improved to the highest standards.
What you'll be doing
- Managing planned maintenance, investment and major works projects from inception to completion.
- Monitoring project budgets, costs and contractor performance.
- Administering contracts and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification.
- Supporting procurement activities and providing commercial advice.
- Working closely with contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders to achieve excellent outcomes for customers.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and quality standards.

What we're looking for
- Experience in quantity surveying, contract management, project management or a similar property-related discipline.
- Knowledge of construction contracts, cost management and procurement processes.
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
- A customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality services.
