Are you a Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career with a growing and innovative construction business?
Our client is seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial Team, supporting a diverse portfolio of modular construction and offsite manufacturing projects. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to both pre-construction and commercial functions while working within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Commercial, you will play a key role in reviewing contracts, identifying commercial risks, supporting tender submissions, and helping to ensure projects are commercially successful from the outset.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret client contracts, specifications, and tender documentation.
- Identify commercial risks and contractual obligations.
- Provide commercial and contractual advice to pre-construction, design, and project teams.
- Support the negotiation of contract terms and conditions.
- Assist with developing procurement and subcontract strategies.
- Help prepare payment terms and cash flow forecasts for bids and projects.
- Support complex bid reviews and scope gap analysis where required.
- Attend pre-start meetings and provide ongoing commercial support.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of commercial processes and procedures.

About You
- 3-5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying or Commercial role.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, including JCT, NEC, and bespoke forms.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying desirable.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.
- Experience within modular construction, offsite manufacturing, or the wider construction industry would be advantageous.
