Quantity Surveyor – Major Project Tier 1 Main Contractor – Central London + Northern Home Counties

Salary/Package: £65,000 – £80,000 + Car Allowance + Travel Expenses + Pension + Private Medical + Bonus

O’Neill and Brennan are currently working with a multi-billion pound Tier 1 main contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on one of the most exciting major developments currently taking place in the UK.

The successful candidate will take ownership of significant sections of a £250m project, with responsibility spanning a varied mix of hotel, commercial and leisure elements. This is an opportunity to work on a genuinely high-profile project and play a key role in its commercial delivery.

The role will initially be office-based from the contractor's Euston office, with a site presence required further down the line as the project progresses. Candidates must therefore be based in Central London or Hertfordshire and be comfortable travelling into London to work across both locations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with major project and PCSA experience who is looking to join a leading Tier 1 contractor and contribute to a project that offers significant variety, scale and long-term career value.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
