Quantity Surveyor - High-End Residential Construction

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to work on exceptional, high-specification homes and unique construction projects?

We're working with an established and highly regarded chartered building company specialising in the delivery of bespoke, high-end residential projects. With a strong reputation for quality and craftsmanship, they're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working on complex, high-value projects where attention to detail, commercial awareness, and quality are genuinely valued.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of projects from pre-construction through to completion, working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and the wider project team.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Managing the commercial and financial performance of projects
  • Preparing and managing project budgets, forecasts, and cost plans
  • Producing and reviewing valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts
  • Managing subcontractor procurement and accounts
  • Preparing, managing, and agreeing variations
  • Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks
  • Assisting with tendering and procurement activities
  • Negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Producing regular commercial reports
  • Working closely with the Project and Site Management teams
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
  • Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and to the required quality standards

About You

We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor who has experience within construction, ideally with a background in high-end residential, bespoke homes, luxury developments, or high-specification building projects.

You'll Ideally Have

  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction
  • Strong commercial and financial management skills
  • Experience managing subcontractors and supply chain relationships
  • Good knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and valuations
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
  • A commercially minded and proactive approach
