Major Data Centre Project | Dunstable

A leading international main contractor is looking to strengthen its commercial team with the appointment of both a Quantity Surveyor and Assistant Quantity Surveyor on a major data centre development in Dunstable.

Whether you're an established Quantity Surveyor looking for your next challenge or an Assistant Quantity Surveyor ready to take the next step in your career, this is an excellent opportunity to join a flagship project within one of the fastest-growing sectors in construction.

Working closely with senior commercial and project teams, you will be involved in the successful commercial delivery of a large-scale, technically complex scheme from construction through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing subcontractor procurement and package administration.
  • Preparing and managing variations and change control.
  • Monitoring project costs, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Reviewing and processing subcontractor applications and payments.
  • Managing subcontract accounts through to final account.
  • Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Producing accurate commercial reports and forecasts.
  • Working closely with site teams, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Supporting the successful financial delivery of the project.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience working for a Tier 1 main contractor.
  • Major Industrial / Commercial project history.
  • Strong commercial awareness and contractual understanding.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a project-focused environment.
