Quantity Surveyor Opportunity in Aberdeen
An opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a successful construction contractor headquartered in Aberdeen. Operating across a diverse portfolio of commercial projects, the company has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality solutions for a broad client base throughout the UK.
Working as part of an experienced commercial team, you'll play a key role in the financial and contractual management of multiple projects, ensuring commercial performance is maximized and business objectives are achieved. This role offers the opportunity to join a growing organisation with a strong pipeline of secured work and genuine opportunities for long-term career progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the commercial delivery of projects from pre-construction through to final account
- Oversee budgets, cost planning, procurement, valuations, subcontractor management, variations, forecasting, invoicing, and commercial reporting
- Work closely with operational teams, clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
- Help drive project performance, maintain robust cost controls, identify opportunities for margin improvement, and ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements and commercial best practice

Requirements
- Currently be a Quantity Surveyor or an Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in their career
- Possess excellent commercial awareness, strong negotiation and communication skills, and experience managing projects through the full commercial lifecycle from tender stage to final account
- Applications are welcome from candidates across a range of sectors including main contracting, specialist contracting, civil engineering, building, and consultancy
