The Opportunity
Are you a Quantity Surveyor looking to work on projects that genuinely make a difference?
We are seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor to join a regional delivery team working across a range of decarbonisation and energy transition projects. Reporting to a Regional Commercial Manager and supported by a wider commercial team, you'll play a key role in the successful commercial delivery of projects while contributing to a more sustainable future.
This role offers a flexible and collaborative working environment, combining office-based, site-based and remote working.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and control the commercial, financial and contractual elements of projects.
- Produce accurate commercial reports, forecasts and cost/value reconciliations.
- Prepare timely and accurate client valuations.
- Lead subcontract procurement activities, including the preparation of subcontract agreements.
- Manage subcontract accounts, variations and change control processes.
- Ensure all commercial obligations are administered in line with client contracts.
- Work closely with operations and design teams to identify risks, maximise opportunities and improve project outcomes.
- Support effective change management throughout project delivery.
- Liaise with Commercial Managers and Project Directors on contractual matters.
- Attend project and company meetings as required.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to support future business opportunities.

Essential
About You
- Qualified in Quantity Surveying through a BSc, MSc, HND or equivalent vocational route.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying position.
- Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to meet deadlines and consistently deliver high-quality work.
- Good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Desirable
- Working towards or holding professional membership with RICS, CICES or CIOB.
- Experience within a main contracting or subcontracting environment.
- Background in M&E, MEP, building refurbishment or civil engineering projects.
- Experience managing multiple subcontractors.
- Exposure to projects valued between £2m and £20m.
- Familiarity with JCT and NEC forms of contract.
- Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making.
- Experience using cost management systems such as Navision, Oracle, SAP or COINS.
