A respected, multi-disciplinary construction consultancy is seeking an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join its growing team in the Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across a range of sectors, including residential, commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, and mixed-use developments.
The successful candidate will join an established team delivering high-quality cost consultancy services from project inception through to completion, working closely with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Your new role
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for:
- Preparing cost plans and estimates at all project stages
- Producing tender documentation and managing procurement processes
- Evaluating tenders and providing recommendations to clients
- Contract administration and project cost management
- Valuations, variations, and final account negotiations
- Preparing financial reports and cash flow forecasts
- Supporting clients with budget control and commercial advice
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Previous consultancy or client-side experience
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement routes
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage projects independently and as part of a wider team
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Progress towards APC qualification would be advantageous, although not essential
