Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Quantity Surveyor role based in the Greater Blackburn with Darwen Area. The Quantity Surveyor will manage project costs from initial estimates through completion, preparing and maintaining Bills of Quantities (BOQ), tracking expenditures, and ensuring financial efficiency across projects. Daily responsibilities include cost planning, cost control, and cost reporting, as well as evaluating quotations, assisting in tender preparation, and monitoring contracts for value and compliance. The role involves close collaboration with project managers, accountants, and other stakeholders to provide accurate financial data and commercial insight that supports decision-making.

Qualifications

- Strong cost management skills, including Cost Control and Cost Management.
- Proficiency in preparing and managing BOQ and Cost Planning activities.
- Experience in Cost Reporting, including the ability to produce clear, accurate financial reports.
- Solid numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with advanced Excel and general MS Office skills.
- Understanding of construction or property-related projects and basic contract and commercial principles.
- Relevant degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
