We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing Facilities Management business, taking responsibility for the financial control of mechanical projects up to £3m.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor with a strong MEP/mechanical background looking to take ownership of project costs from initial estimating through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor project expenditure and identify cost variances.
  • Implement effective cost-control measures.
  • Manage procurement and support contract negotiations.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers and Contractors.
  • Carry out regular site visits to assess progress and verify quantities.
  • Prepare financial reports, forecasts and risk assessments.
  • Monitor project performance against budgets.
  • Ensure contractual, legal and industry compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar commercial role.
  • Minimum MEP experience.
  • Strong knowledge of cost control, budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Experience working on mechanical or MEP projects.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good knowledge of estimating and project management software.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
