ROLE: Quantity Surveyor
HOURS: 40 hours per week
LOCATION: Rosyth, Scotland

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Future Defence Infrastructure Services (FDIS) team, supporting the Ministry of Defence across South Scotland. Reporting to the Principal Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a significant Billable Works programme, providing commercial leadership across a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from £25,000 to £5 million.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a contract that is already delivering a substantial £70–£80 million programme of works, with projects including refurbishments, new builds and specialist defence infrastructure improvements.
Role Responsibilities:
- Managing contractual and commercial aspects of the Billable Works programme.
- Preparing subcontractor tender enquiries and assessing commercial returns.
- Negotiating, pricing and agreeing contract variations with clients and subcontractors.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and monthly reporting.
- Monitoring project performance and identifying opportunities to mitigate commercial risk.

Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
- Proven experience delivering projects of comparable complexity and value.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
