A civil engineering construction company serving commercial and public sector clients across Scotland is looking for a qualified Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
Role Description
The individual in this role will be responsible for:
- Preparing and managing Bills of Quantities
- Monitoring project costs
- Supporting cost planning from tender through to final account
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability in cost control and cost management to support project budgets and financial performance
- Experience in preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and related measurement documentation
- Skills in cost planning, including estimating, forecasting, and supporting tender submissions
- Competence in cost reporting, including regular financial updates, variance analysis, and final accounts

Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with standard MS Office tools and quantity surveying or cost management software
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with site and office-based colleagues
- Knowledge of civil engineering construction methods, contracts, and industry standards is highly beneficial
