QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Due to continued business growth, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join the business in a period of rapid growth. Reporting to the Commercial Director, within the Energy and Critical Infrastructure Division, you will be responsible for effectively managing the commercial aspects of the a variety of project works.

About the role

Responsible for the commercial management and monitoring of the financial and commercial performance for a variety of commercial projects in healthcare, education, and other developments. You will advise and support the operational team to ensure the financial elements of the projects are delivered, including subcontract procurement, site measures, monthly CVRs, budget analysis, raising and agreement of EWN’s and compensation events and general commercial administration of the contract.

Your role will include:

  • Cost control and value management
  • Produce accurate monthly forecasts, CVRs and P&Ls
  • Develop local supply chains
  • Administer the commercial aspects of the programmes
  • Agreement of applications for supply chain payment and final accounts
  • Monthly WIP analysis & cash flow control
  • Manage variation accounts, and subcontract payments
  • Production of dashboard reports to reflect on the key commercial KPIs
  • Advising the team on contractual issues
  • Management of Variation Account and final account forecast

Experience:

  • Experience in major M&E projects under NEC 3 and or 4 Agreements.
  • Strong communications, diplomatic and inclusive approach
  • Hold a full driving license held for a minimum of 12 months
  • Uses suitable business-like and appropriate language in your communication
  • Ensure that challenging corporate messages are delivered and supported
  • Prioritises key tasks to receive the greatest attention.
  • Establish team focus by communicating goals in support of the business’ aims.
  • DBS check to be completed prior to start date.
  • A legal right to work in the UK.
