We are working with an established, family owned and operated specialist contractor who are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join the team on site near Castle Cary.
The project is a high end, bespoke residential development for a private client with a focus on quality across procurement and delivery and the scheme is being delivered on a JCT form of contract so needs someone with experience of working with a regional or GTier 1 business.
Responsibilities
- Get involved at estimating stages to help with pricing and programming queries
- Pass on your practical on site experience to the bid teams
- Firm up enquiries and convert into subcontract orders
- Place orders and manage pre starts on site
- Take responsibility to manage the packages through to completion on site

On-Site Duties
- Payments
- Valuations
- Variation accounts
- Remeasures
- Forecasting
- CVR prep
You will be working closely with the site management team to deliver the scheme on time.
Autonomy
You will have a lot of autonomy on site to make real time decisions and we will be fully backed by head office support functions. You will report into the Regional Commercial Manager.
