Quantity Surveyor
A well-established and highly regarded residential developer is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join its Commercial team, near Chester.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a range of high-quality residential developments, supporting the commercial delivery of projects from inception through to final account. The successful candidate will play a key role in cost control, subcontract management, valuations, forecasting and reporting, while working closely with operational and finance teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and profitably.
The Role
- Scheduling and quantifying materials and labour
- Managing subcontractor accounts, payments and variations
- Producing valuations, CVRs and cost-to-complete reports
- Monitoring project budgets and reporting on cost movement
- Assisting with WIP and cashflow forecasting
- Maintaining commercial systems and project records
- Attending site meetings and carrying out regular site visits
- Supporting the preparation and management of development budgets
- Ensuring commercial procedures and processes are followed throughout project delivery

About You
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role
- Strong understanding of construction costs, budgets and forecasting
- Strong IT skills and commercial awareness
- Excellent numerical, negotiation and organisational skills
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Professional, motivated and ambitious
