Sinewave was founded in 2015 with a clear mission from the very start - everything that we do will always be a power for good. Since then, we have gone from a living room start-up to a leading force within the energy transformation sector. Not bad, eh!

We are on a mission to help power the future more sustainably. But don't just take our word for it, we are the only B-Corp Certified ICP in the world.

We’re part of powering the UK’s energy transition with innovative high and low voltage electrical solutions up to 400kV. From EV charging to renewables and commercial projects, we design, deliver, and maintain networks with sustainability and efficiency at heart. Join us to drive change and make an impact!

This role:

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to come and join our growing Commercial team.

This will be someone who challenges what we do daily and thrives working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines helping us build for the future.

An idea of what you'll be doing:

  • Work with and support Project Management daily, ensuring projects meet commercial and financial targets (payment terms, JCT/NEC etc)
  • Support Project Management through attending monthly project review and CVR meetings and assisting with completion of handover of projects to the Design and Construction teams.
  • Support and contribute to the creation of regular and accurate reporting for key stakeholders (CVRs, Cash Flow, Weekly Updates etc.)
  • Assist in and carry out valuations for the purpose of initial, interim and final payment applications.
  • Assess and monitor payments for sub-contractor and supplier accounts in line with the agreed subcontracts and to align with any upstream contractual requirements
  • Identify, notify, value and agree change (variations, compensation events, claims) flagging to the business where the agreed cost and consequential GP may be impacted.
  • Work with the Commercial Contract Manager to maximise the recovery of all contractual entitlements.
  • Actively lead and participate in the creation and adjustment of processes, documentation and working templates, where necessary, including effective rollout for future projects.
  • Review and oversee customer and supplier commercial documentation, including PO terms, payment applications, certificates, and cashflow milestones.
  • Support effective cost control by monitoring WIP, approving POs/overspends within governance limits, and assisting procurement activities.
  • Manage change by identifying, preparing, submitting, and securing agreement for variations, delay notices, contra-charges, and related commercial adjustments.
  • Assist Project Managers with commercial elements of supplier and customer claims, disputes, and risk management relating to incomplete or omitted works.
  • Contribute to monthly and final account processes, including applications for payment, revenue recovery actions, and straightforward FA negotiations.
  • Participate in project handovers and reviews, and help identify development or training needs within project and commercial teams.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
