Quantity Surveyor – Commercial & Pricing

A newly created opportunity to make a real commercial impact.

We’re looking for an experienced, commercially minded Quantity Surveyor to join our growing project team.

This is a key role supporting four business units, with a particular focus on improving the speed, accuracy and consistency of project pricing. You’ll help move the business towards a more data-driven approach by developing a robust cost database and using commercial insight to improve cost certainty and profitability.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive cost database.
  • Producing accurate estimates, budgets and benchmarking information.
  • Reviewing subcontractor pricing and supporting procurement.
  • Managing project costs from inception through to completion.
  • Administering JCT and NEC contracts, including variations.
  • Monitoring project financial performance, budgets and profitability.
  • Identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Working closely with project managers, engineers and operational teams.
  • Driving improvements to commercial processes and pricing methodologies.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
