Fourblue are hiring for a Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team in London.

This is an opportunity to join an established engineering and construction business working across mission critical projects.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial management of projects, working closely with Contract Managers, Senior Quantity Surveyors and the wider construction team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Contract Managers to advise on the commercial status of projects
  • Assist with the review and understanding of project contracts
  • Support Senior Quantity Surveyors with the preparation of commercial reports
  • Negotiate with contractors and assist with the preparation and management of variations
  • Manage major subcontractor accounts from initial award through to interim valuations, variations and final accounts
  • Assist with monthly progress applications
  • Monitor project costs and commercial performance
  • Work closely with the wider construction and project teams
  • Support with other Quantity Surveying and commercial duties as required

We're looking for someone with:

  • Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying or similar commercial role (+5 years post graduation)
  • Experience within Mission Critical projects
  • A relevant third-level qualification is advantageous but not essential
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Excellent IT skills
  • The ability to work on site, in London
  • Strong written, verbal and communication skills
