About The Role
Based in Exeter, this full-time Quantity Surveyor position sits within a mixed-tenure housing team covering sites across the south west. The successful candidate takes commercial ownership of two medium to large schemes, handling elemental reconciliations, cash flow forecasting and cost control procedures. Regular site visits are expected alongside office working in Devon. Applicants should bring experience in housing, contracting, or both, with strong reporting accuracy and budget management skills. The salary ranges from £45,000 to £55,000 annually, supplemented by a package and excellent benefits. The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial control of your own projects, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, dealing with all elemental reconciliations and cash flow forecasts. You will manage cost control procedures, contributing to effective cash management, completing all of sub-contractor administration and identifying and managing risk of developments.
What’s Needed
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor able to manage your own schemes
- A strong housing background, either developer side or contracting
- Volume experience would be desirable
- Excellent IT skills and ideally COINS is desirable but not essential.
- A team player who is also able to work well independently
- Strong Commercial awareness
- Detailed and thorough approach to work
- Analytically reporting skills
- Excellent communication
- Well organised and able to prioritise work
