Quantity Surveyor - Perth

Our Client, an industry leader within civil engineering and construction, is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Perth on a permanent/staff basis. This role will work between the Office and Site.

About the Role

You’ll play a key role in successfully managing all financial aspects of a project pre and post contract. Minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while achieving the required quality, safety and environmental standards.

Liaise with clients and develop cost plans and estimates in line with their requirements. To ensure compliance with the Company Standards of Service, Management Systems, and to meet the requirements of the company business plan(s).

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities and cash flow forecasts.
• Undertake costs analysis and reporting on project work (pre-and-post contract).
• Assist in establishing the client's requirements and undertake budget cost studies which reflect these requirements.
• Perform risk/value management and cost control.
• Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks.
• Prepare and analyse costs for tenders.
• Obtain quotations and prepare sub-contract documents for subcontractors.
• Provide advice on and assisting with the preparation of contractual claims.
• Analyse outcomes of and write detailed progress reports.
• Prepare interim valuations, final accounts, and arranging payments.
• Maintain awareness of the various civil engineering contracts in current use.
• Understand the implications of health and safety regulations.
• Maintain Document logs and registers.
• Liaise with contract staff, suppliers, and clients.
• Implement and maintain company procedures and contract administrative systems.
• Use a variety of software packages including EasyEarthworks, Excel, Word, Project, Constructa, and Entropy.
