Quantity Surveyor

Location: London (Hybrid Working Available)
Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits

A well-established and highly respected construction consultancy is looking to appoint an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who wants to work across a diverse portfolio of high-quality projects while developing their career within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The consultancy has built a strong reputation for delivering expert cost management and commercial advice across a range of sectors, working with prestigious clients on projects from inception through to completion. Due to continued growth and an expanding project pipeline, they are seeking a Quantity Surveyor who is passionate about delivering exceptional service and adding value to every stage of the construction process.

The Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing full pre- and post-contract quantity surveying services across a variety of construction projects. You will work closely with senior colleagues, clients, contractors, and design teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing cost plans, estimates, and budgets.
  • Producing tender documentation and managing procurement processes.
  • Evaluating tenders and preparing tender reports.
  • Administering contracts and managing change control.
  • Preparing valuations, cost reports, and final accounts.
  • Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks.
  • Providing accurate commercial advice to clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Supporting senior team members on complex commissions while managing your own workload.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Experience working within a consultancy or client-side environment.
  • Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract, including JCT.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and cost management skills.
  • Strong communication and client-facing abilities.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A proactive, organised, and collaborative approach.
  • Working towards or already achieving MRICS status (desirable but not essential).
