Eccles & Shetland Projects | £60,000+ DOE | Hybrid/Flexible Working
Attention
Looking for your next Quantity Surveying opportunity with a growing infrastructure business working across major energy and utilities projects?
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established contractor delivering complex projects across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of live commercial packages across Eccles and Shetland, with both projects managed from the company's office.
Interest
The role will initially focus on two live projects that are approaching completion, with the Eccles project benefiting from a significant £10m variation which is expected to extend the contract through to March/April 2027.
You'll take responsibility for the commercial management of the projects, working closely with operational teams and stakeholders to ensure strong commercial control and successful project delivery.
The business operates across energy, utilities and infrastructure, providing exposure to technically complex projects and opportunities to develop your career within a growing organisation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
