We are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Nuclear team.
You will play a key role within the commercial team, supporting the successful delivery of the B355 project. Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for commercial management, contract administration, and financial reporting, while working closely with project delivery teams and the client to ensure successful project outcomes.
This role offers excellent exposure to a major nuclear infrastructure programme, providing opportunities to develop your commercial expertise and contribute to future project pricing and work-winning activities.
Role Responsibilities
- Support the commercial management and delivery of the Sellafield B355 project.
- Assist in the administration of NEC3/NEC4 contracts, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
- Prepare and maintain accurate Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), forecasts, and financial reports.
- Support the management of project costs, budgets, and financial performance.
- Administer change management processes, including the management of compensation events.
- Procure and manage subcontract packages, ensuring robust commercial controls are maintained.
- Prepare, assess, and agree subcontract payments and final accounts.
- Monitor project risks and opportunities, providing timely reporting and recommendations.
- Develop strong working relationships with project teams, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- Maintain accurate commercial records using CEMAR or similar contract management systems.
- Support the Commercial Manager with project reporting, governance requirements, and future work-winning opportunities.

Skills, Experience And Qualifications
- Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within a construction, engineering, or infrastructure environment.
- Good understanding of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts.
- Experience of Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) processes, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of change management and contract administration principles.
- Experience in procurement and subcontract management.
- Main contractor background with experience supporting project delivery teams.
- Strong commercial awareness and diligence.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to work on site as required.
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience working within the nuclear sector or other highly regulated industries.
- Familiarity with NEC Option E contracts.
- Experience using CEMAR or similar contract management software.
- Exposure to pre-construction, estimating, pricing, or work-winning activities.
