Kirk Connected Construction is a main contractor based in South Lincolnshire, delivering projects across the United Kingdom. The company provides a comprehensive range of construction services, covering sectors such as food manufacturing warehouses, commercial office developments, new builds, and refurbishments.
Role Overview
This is a varied role covering both pre-construction and live project delivery across commercial construction, civil engineering and groundworks projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing projects from tender through to final account
- Preparing and assisting with tenders
- Preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost plans and project budgets
- Obtaining and reviewing supplier & subcontractor quotations
- Preparing valuations and applications for payment
- Monitoring project expenditure, budgets and commercial performance
- Identifying, pricing and managing variations
- Producing accurate cost reports and forecasts for project and senior management
- Supporting procurement and subcontractor appointments
- Assisting with JCT and NEC contract administration
- Preparing and agreeing final accounts
- Working closely with Project Managers, site teams, clients and subcontractors

Requirements
- Proven Quantity Surveying experience within the UK construction industry
- Experience within commercial construction and civils/groundworks
- Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field
- Strong cost control, cost management and cost planning experience
- Experience with BOQs, tendering, procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts
- Good working knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts and contract administration
- Strong numerical, analytical and Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively across multi-disciplinary project teams
- Able to provide satisfactory references from previous construction employment/projects

Experience working for a main contractor or across industrial, food manufacturing, and live operational environments would be advantageous.
We’re looking for someone who wants to become a key part of the KCC team and get involved across a wide variety of projects, from the initial tender and pre-construction stages right through to completion and final account.
