Quantity Surveyor | Freelance Contract | Major Infrastructure Project

I'm currently supporting a leading infrastructure contractor with an exciting opportunity for 2 x Quantity Surveyors to join a major infrastructure project in Hertfordshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a QS looking to further develop their commercial career while working alongside experienced Commercial Managers and Senior Quantity Surveyors on a large-scale project.

The Role:

  • Support the commercial management of a major infrastructure project.
  • Assist with subcontractor management, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Support the administration of NEC contracts and compensation events.
  • Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and commercial documentation.
  • Help identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout project delivery.
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.

We're looking for:

  • Previous Quantity Surveying experience within infrastructure, utilities, or civil engineering.
  • Good understanding of NEC contracts.
  • Experience with subcontractor management and cost reporting.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Eagerness to develop within a busy commercial team.
