Quantity Surveyor – Joinery / Furniture / Carpentry

Location: West London

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Contract: Permanent / Contract

About the Role

We are working with an established business specialising in bespoke joinery, furniture and carpentry, delivering high-quality projects across commercial, residential and specialist sectors. They are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the team and take responsibility for the commercial management of projects from tender through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing project costs, budgets and commercial performance.
  • Preparing tenders, estimates and cost plans.
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications and scopes of work.
  • Preparing and managing variations, valuations and applications for payment.
  • Managing subcontractor and supplier accounts.
  • Monitoring costs, margins and project profitability.
  • Supporting procurement and commercial negotiations.
  • Producing regular cost/value reports and forecasts.
  • Working closely with project, design and production teams.
  • Supporting final accounts and project close-out.

  • Previous Quantity Surveying experience within joinery, furniture, carpentry, interiors or a related specialist contractor.
  • Strong understanding of construction and manufacturing costs.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with variations, valuations, procurement and final accounts.
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Confident working across multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of Excel and relevant commercial/ERP systems.
