Quantity Surveyor – Hyperscale Data Centres
Location: London
Salary: Up to £75,000
Employment: Permanent

TGS International Group is supporting a leading technology and infrastructure business in the appointment of an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team.
This is an opportunity to work on complex, high-profile projects within the hyperscale data centre sector, supporting commercial performance throughout the full project lifecycle.
Reporting into senior commercial leadership, the successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers, Commercial Managers, Planners and Operations teams to control costs, manage variations, protect margins and ensure contractual obligations are met.
The Role
- Provide commercial support across major data centre projects.
- Monitor project costs and performance against budget.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout delivery.
- Manage variations, scope changes, quotations and claims.
- Support monthly valuations, cost reporting and forecasting.
- Carry out cost/value reconciliation and cost control activities.
- Administer contracts and subcontracts in line with project requirements.
- Review and interpret contract terms and commercial obligations.
- Support the management of claims and variations to protect project margins.
- Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, consultants and internal teams.
- Work closely with Commercial, Finance, Legal, Engineering and Operations functions.
- Support supplier negotiations and wider commercial activities.
- Help improve commercial processes and best practice across projects.

What We're Looking For
- Proven Quantity Surveying experience within construction or project delivery.
- Experience working on hyperscale data centre projects is strongly preferred.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
- Experience working with standard contract forms including JCT, NEC and FIDIC.
- Strong experience with variations, claims, valuations and forecasting.
- Good understanding of project cost control and commercial reporting.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to identify commercial risks and opportunities.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confident working with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Experience or understanding of structured cabling and hyperscale data centre technologies would be highly advantageous.
This role would suit a commercially strong Quantity Surveyor looking to develop further within the data centre sector and support the delivery of major hyperscale projects.
