We are looking for a motivated and ambitious individual to join our team, team and support the successful delivery of a major rail project.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage the Application for Payment (AFP) process.
- Compile, submit, and manage Applications for Payment to the Client.
- Support the Managing Quantity Surveyor with the commercial management of the project.
- Monitor and manage project costs, including labour, staff, plant, and materials.
- Manage and review staff timesheets to support accurate cost reporting.
- Administer and manage small-value subcontractor packages, including valuations and payments.
- Assist with cost forecasting, commercial reporting, and financial controls.
- Support the identification and management of commercial risks and opportunities.
- Maintain accurate commercial records and project documentation.
- Work collaboratively with operational and project teams to support successful project delivery.
- Provide commercial support to senior members of the commercial team across a range of project activities.
- Contribute to the successful delivery of the project.

- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Good understanding of project costs, including labour, staff, plant, and materials.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
Desirable
- Knowledge of COINS.
- RICS membership or working towards chartership.
- Experience working on infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
