We are working on behalf of an established residential developer seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team and play a key role in delivering an exciting portfolio of residential developments across Oxford and the surrounding areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor to become involved in a range of residential projects, working closely with the wider development and construction teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on budget and to the highest standards.
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of residential developments from procurement through to final account, ensuring cost control and value are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all commercial and surveying activities across a portfolio of residential developments.
- Prepare, monitor and report on project budgets, cost plans and forecasts.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, tendering and contract negotiations.
- Monitor project costs, identify potential risks and implement cost-saving measures where appropriate.
- Prepare and manage interim valuations, payment applications and final accounts.
- Work closely with site teams, project managers and senior management to support successful project delivery.
- Ensure contractual obligations are met and commercial risks are effectively managed.
- Maintain accurate commercial records and provide regular cost reports.

About You
- Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the residential construction or housebuilding sector.
- Strong commercial awareness and excellent cost management skills.
- Experience managing subcontractor packages, procurement and final accounts.
- A good understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively with site-based and commercial teams.
