Quantity Surveyor | RED Systems

RED Systems is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team.

We are a specialist façade and architectural glazing contractor, delivering technically demanding projects across the UK for leading main contractors. Our work spans curtain walling, windows, doors, structural glazing, and wider façade packages, with a strong forward order book and a growing pipeline of larger and increasingly complex projects.

This is an established position within our Commercial team and we’re looking for someone who can take genuine commercial ownership of their projects and has the experience and ambition to develop further as RED continues to grow.

You’ll manage the commercial and contractual aspects of projects from pre-contract through delivery and final account, including:

  • Project budgets and monthly CVRs
  • Valuations and variations
  • Subcontract and labour-only procurement
  • Cost and margin control
  • Contractual correspondence
  • Subcontractor valuations and payments
  • Final accounts

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You’ll work closely with our Commercial Manager, operational and site teams, clients, and the supply chain, providing practical commercial and contractual advice throughout project delivery.

Relevant sector experience is important to us, and we are particularly interested in people who have worked within façades, curtain walling, architectural glazing, windows, cladding, or the wider building-envelope sector and understand the commercial realities of working as a specialist subcontractor.

You’ll need strong commercial awareness, confidence managing your own projects and workload, and a good working knowledge of construction contracts, with JCT and/or NEC experience particularly useful.

A Quantity Surveying degree, HND, or equivalent is welcomed, but we’re equally interested in the experience and capability you can bring to the role.

Our head office is based on the Wirral and, for colleagues living within 20 miles of the office, this is primarily an office-based role. For candidates living further afield, we are open to agreeing a hybrid working arrangement, as we already do successfully with other members of the team.
