Quantity Surveyor

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience, plus a competitive car allowance
About the Company
Founded in 2016, Zenith Developments Group is an established, debt-free main contractor based in Dunswell, Hull. We deliver design and build, refurbishment, fit-out, and construction management projects across Yorkshire and the UK.
The Opportunity
As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team.
Our Clients
We work with a wide range of public and private sector clients, including:
- Healthcare: NHS Trusts
- Defence and justice: Ministry of Defence and HM Prison Service
- Retail and commercial: Aldi, B&Q, Co-op, Specsavers, and Moto Hospitality
- Education and public sector: University of Leeds and local authorities
The Role
Reporting to the commercial lead, you'll be responsible for the commercial management of projects from tender through to final account. Key responsibilities include:

- Preparing estimates, cost plans, and tender submissions
- Procuring and managing the supply chain, including subcontract orders and valuations
- Producing cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and valuations
- Managing variations, change control, and final accounts
- Working closely with project managers, site teams, and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget
Requirements
- At least 5 years' quantity surveying experience in construction
- Sound working knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts
- Strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills, and communication skills
- Experience in healthcare, public sector, or retail is desirable
- A relevant degree or HNC, or equivalent experience
