We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team to work on infrastructure and/or construction projects. This position requires a proactive approach and enthusiasm to work within an evolving business.

Key Accountability

Quantity Surveying

  • Prepare applications to be sent to the client.
  • Manage commercial aspects of subcontractors from tender through to final accounts.
  • Price and agree variations with both client and subcontractors.
  • Preparation of CVRs and cash flows.
  • Input into monthly Contracting Department valuation figures.

Contract Administration

  • Administer projects within the agreed contract conditions; these will vary dependant on the client.
  • Ensure compliance with notification requirements and contractual timescales.
  • Maintain robust contractual records and communications.

Risk & Value Management

  • Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Contribute to risk registers and cost risk analysis.
  • Support or lead value engineering initiatives.
  • Assist with provision of commercially sound advice within the project teams.

Stakeholder & Team Engagement

  • Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, consultants, and supply chain partners.
  • Provide commercial insight to project teams to support informed decision-making.
  • Mentor and support junior commercial staff where appropriate.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related discipline.
  • 3-5 years’ experience post degree (less experience considered).
  • Experience administering NEC and/or JCT contracts desirable.
  • Proven experience managing subcontract accounts through to final account agreement.
