Position: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Warrington

Salary: £40,000 - £55,000

Bennett & Game are representing a growing and well-established construction consultancy who are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their Northern team.

The successful candidate will join a business providing professional Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management and wider construction consultancy services across a broad range of sectors. Their project portfolio includes residential, healthcare, commercial, education, refurbishment and fit-out schemes, offering exposure to varied and interesting work.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to continue progressing their career within a supportive and growing team. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors and Directors, gaining exposure to a diverse project portfolio while taking increasing responsibility for their own work.

  • Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 depending on experience
  • Hybrid working, typically 1 day per week from home

Quantity Surveyor Position Overview

  • Deliver pre and post-contract Quantity Surveying services across a varied project portfolio
  • Assist with cost planning, estimating, tender documentation and Bills of Quantities
  • Support procurement processes and the management of subcontract packages
  • Prepare valuations, variations, cost reports and final account information
  • Monitor project costs and assist with commercial reporting and change management
  • Attend client, site and project meetings as required
  • Work closely with Senior Quantity Surveyors while developing responsibility for your own projects

Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a construction environment
  • Main contractor or contractor-side experience would be highly advantageous
  • Good understanding of both pre and post-contract Quantity Surveying
  • Experience with procurement, valuations, variations and cost reporting
  • Able to manage workloads effectively and work independently when required
  • Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline would be advantageous
