Overview
A well-established and financially secure main contractor with more than 50 years of successful project delivery is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This role offers long-term stability, strong progression opportunities and the chance to take ownership of either multiple smaller projects or one multi-million-pound scheme, depending on experience.

The company delivers projects across healthcare, MOD, commercial and education sectors, covering both new build and refurbishment schemes ranging from £100k to £12m. They are known for integrity, consistent margins, a low-risk approach to work and extremely fast subcontractor payments within 7 to 14 days.
Key Responsibilities
- Package procurement
- Processing subcontractor monthly valuations and applications
- Project cost control and commercial reporting
- Issuing monthly valuations to the client / PQS
- Administering variations on the client side
- Managing subcontractor accounts through to final account
- Supporting commercial decision-making across multiple live schemes
- Working closely with project teams to maintain cost, quality and programme control

Ideal Candidate
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment
- Strong understanding of procurement, valuations, variations and cost control
- Able to manage multiple smaller projects or one larger scheme
- Confident communicating with clients, PQS teams and subcontractors
- Looking for progression and long-term development within a stable business
