Quantity Surveyor / Assistant Quantity Surveyor Cost Consultancy (Tier 1 Contractor Projects)
Location: London Bridge, London
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 + Benefits + Hybrid Working (after 6 months)
A well-established cost consultancy near London Bridge is seeking a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. With over 30 years experience supporting Tier 1 Contractors, they deliver highly complex construction projects across Civic, Commercial, Defence, Education, Healthcare, Heritage, Leisure, Residential and Life Science sectors.
This owner-managed consultancy is known for close collaboration, hands-on support and strong exposure across all project stages. Their size allows you to work directly with senior staff, gain broad experience and progress quickly, with full support towards chartership.

Current schemes range from £10m-£110m, covering new build and refurbishment across commercial sectors. Live projects include prisons, care homes and student accommodation.
Services You'll Work On
- Cost planning and estimating
- Bills of quantities
- Tendering and procurement (approx. 70% of workload)
- Project monitoring
- Post-contract commercial management (approx. 30%)
The Role: Quantity Surveyor / Assistant Quantity Surveyor
You'll support pre- and post-contract duties on high-profile contractor-led schemes. The role is mainly office-based near London Bridge, with occasional client and site visits. Hybrid working (1-2 days per week) is available after a 6-month period.
The Right Person
- Experience with a main contractor or Tier 1/Tier 2 contractor (ideal but not essential)
- Main Contractor experience.
- Positive, proactive and collaborative approach
- Keen to progress within a consultancy environment
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a construction related discipline
