Quantity Surveyor

London | Consultancy | Quantity Surveying

I’m currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading multidisciplinary consultancy in their London office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a consultancy Quantity Surveyor looking for a role where they can continue developing technically, gain strong client exposure and work across a varied portfolio of projects.

The Quantity Surveyor

As a Quantity Surveyor you’ll be involved in delivering quantity surveying and cost management services across the project lifecycle.

You’ll work alongside clients, project managers, designers and wider professional teams, providing commercial and cost advice and helping to ensure projects are delivered effectively from a cost perspective.

The role offers exposure to:

  • Cost planning and cost estimating
  • Pre-contract quantity surveying
  • Post-contract quantity surveying
  • Cost management
  • Procurement and tendering
  • Valuations and change control
  • Commercial reporting
  • Client and stakeholder management
  • Working with multidisciplinary project teams

You’ll ideally have:

  • Experience working for a construction consultancy / property consultancy / multidisciplinary consultancy
  • A strong background in Quantity Surveying and Cost Management
  • Experience across the pre- and/or post-contract stages
  • Good commercial and financial awareness
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • The ability to manage your own workload and contribute to project teams
  • A degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or Construction
  • MRICS qualified or currently working towards MRICS is advantageous
