Company cultures & job summary
Our client is a well-regarded management consultancy with a strong presence in London and a reputation for delivering high-quality cost management and QS services across some genuinely interesting projects. They're growing, they're ambitious, and they need the right person to help lead that growth from the front. The London QS team is a close-knit, senior-led group working across a varied portfolio of projects — the kind of place where your input actually shapes the direction of the business, not just the spreadsheet. You'll be stepping into a role with real weight: leading delivery, advising clients at the highest level, and taking ownership of commercial performance. To be considered, you'll need to be MRICS chartered, have a strong QS and cost management background, and be genuinely confident using CostX day-to-day. On top of that, you'll need a track record of winning and growing client relationships, experience managing or owning a P&L, and the people skills to lead, mentor and develop a team. Sound like you?

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
