EHV Structures Limited is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of the commercial performance of our projects. This is a hands-on role with real influence. You’ll have the opportunity to protect and improve margin, drive cash, manage contracts and shape the way we run our commercial function as the business grows. You’ll work closely with project delivery, procurement, finance, clients and our supply chain — with the autonomy to make decisions and see the impact of your work.
The role can be based anywhere in the UK, with travel to sites and client meetings as required.
What you’ll be doing
- Own the commercial performance of projects from handover to final account.
- Review and negotiate NEC, JCT and bespoke contracts.
- Identify and recover variations, compensation events, EOTs and loss & expense.
- Lead applications for payment, valuations and final accounts.
- Manage commercial risk while maximising project opportunities.
- Work with procurement to secure the best commercial outcomes from our supply chain.
- Lead monthly commercial reviews and provide clear, commercially focused reporting.
- Support tenders, pricing and project handovers.
- Help develop commercial systems and processes as the business grows.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
