Are you a Quantity Surveyor with experience in social housing, planned maintenance or refurbishment? Looking for greater project ownership, a strong package and opportunities to progress?
We’re recruiting an experienced Quantity Surveyor for a major UK property services contractor, commercially managing planned maintenance and refurbishment projects across the East Midlands.
You’ll take ownership from tender through to final account, working closely with clients, operational teams and subcontractors to control costs, protect margins and support successful project delivery.

Your role
You’ll manage the commercial performance of your projects, with support from an established commercial and operational team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Measuring, pricing and evaluating tenders, managing commercial activity through to final account.
- Producing Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) reports, cost forecasts and financial reporting.
- Monitoring project costs, identifying commercial risks and opportunities to improve margins.
- Preparing and managing valuations, payment notices and invoices.
- Managing subcontractor accounts and applications for payment across direct labour and subcontracted works.
- Working closely with clients and operational teams to keep projects commercially on track.

What you’ll bring
You’ll have previous Quantity Surveying experience, including at least two years in planned works or planned maintenance, ideally within social housing, refurbishment or property services.
You’ll also need:
- Strong cost management skills, including CVRs, forecasting and valuations.
- Experience managing subcontractor accounts and payment applications.
- Knowledge of the NHF Schedule of Rates and coding system.
- Strong Excel skills, commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- A BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent qualification.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the East Midlands.
