The Company

They act as Principal Contractor and manage the full remediation process. Their projects include facade remediation projects as well as some full building refurbishments, including internals.
They're a fantastic business - led by high-calibre Directors who are genuinely nice people, a great management team, and a loyal, dedicated staff. They are highly profitable and growing at an impressive, yet controlled pace.
The business has a substantial volume of secured work, with live projects in London and The South East.

The successful candidate will start on a live scheme, a remediation project across two residential blocks. The first block is valued at over £20m.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Our client is delivering both internal and external works. This brings in a wider range of trades than a typical façade project, including joinery, drylining, ceilings, flooring, bathrooms and MEP, and makes the scheme more involved commercially.
Much of the procurement is already in place, so the focus is post contract. The role reports to the Commercial Manager. There is scope to develop your career across further projects as the pipeline progresses.
The Role
- Take day-to-day commercial responsibility for your project, reporting to the Commercial Manager
- Prepare and agree valuations
- Identify, assess and manage variations across both the internal and external works
- Manage the commercial side of a multi-trade project involving direct, labour-only, and subcontracted trades
- Work closely with the site and project teams to keep commercial and operational priorities aligned
- Support other projects across the business as required
The Individual
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, able to work self-sufficiently and run a project’s commercial side without close supervision
- Strong post-contract experience, particularly valuations and variations
- The ability to build effective working relationships with site teams
