Quantity Surveyor - Fit-Out
MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a Quantity Surveyor - Fit-Out for our client, a leading construction contractor delivering high-quality projects across the UK and Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take responsibility for the commercial management of fit-out projects, working closely with project teams, subcontractors, clients and key stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial delivery of fit-out projects from pre-construction through to completion.
- Take responsibility for project costs, ensuring works are delivered within budget and in line with commercial objectives.
- Prepare cost plans, valuations, variations, forecasts and final accounts.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiations, payments and commercial performance.
- Review drawings, specifications and contracts to identify commercial risks and opportunities.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and wider project teams to ensure effective cost control.
- Monitor project progress, budgets and contractual requirements, providing regular reporting to senior management.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and key project stakeholders.
- Support tender submissions and pre-construction activities as required.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction or fit-out sector.
- Experience managing commercial aspects of fit-out, refurbishment or interiors projects.
- Strong understanding of cost management, contract administration and procurement processes.
- Ability to manage subcontractor accounts, variations and final accounts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
- Relevant construction qualification (HNC/HND/BSc Quantity Surveying or equivalent).
- CSR/CSCS card required.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to projects as required.
