Project1201 is a construction consultancy that provides bespoke services for private and commercial clients in and around London. We are looking for a Graduate to join our PQS Quantity Surveying/Cost Consulting team based in Hammersmith, London. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to get involved in a range of projects including High Residential, Private rental, Luxury Leisure, Student Accommodation and Commercial projects in the private sector from inception to completion.

Role & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will perform a range of pre and post contract duties in support of other surveyors, but will also have the opportunity, with Director level support to experience all elements of projects from start to finish to ensure a high level of development and experience including:

  • Feasibility costing and Cost Planning
  • Tendering, Negotiating and Contract Preparation
  • Valuations and Financial Reporting
  • Cost and account agreement
  • General QS duties and Managing relationships with clients, contractors and colleagues

Qualifications

  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Ability to foster relationships with professionals of all levels
  • Analytical approach to problem-solving
  • Willingness to travel - although most projects are London Based there may be requirement to travel within the UK for projects, but this will be day return only with no requirement for overnight stay.
  • Well-organized, with the ability to priorities tasks and manage time
  • Good understanding of Microsoft office suite – outlook, excel, word
  • Team player but able to work alone as required
